Leading Edge Youth Activist Retreat Needs Some $$$ Love

The Hudson Valley's very own young activist, Julia Walsh is up to something again.
She is not just clowning around!!!!

After serving four years as a Trustee in the Village of New Paltz and doing some amazing NGO work at the United Nations, she is making waves with a fabulous retreat of a small group of amazing authors, activists & theorists to create a curriculum for young activists called Integral Activism. Here's a little more info:

"As our generation comes of age in a world that demands a higher level of consciousness and action, 21st century advances in technology, thinking, and transformation processes are giving rise to a whole new wave of social change.

While many activists continue to use outdated organizing methods that focus solely on single issues, identity politics, and short-term wins, a growing number of people are waking up to a larger Movement vision, one that offers a wide range of integrative strategies, collaborative processes, and sustainable solutions. By utilizing leading-edge theories and tools for creating change, integral activism will provide a cohesive, whole systems framework to address the interrelated challenges of our time.

This gathering is about working to build a transformative change
initiative for the rising generations, not around one particular issue
area or one particular strategy, but around the big-picture of
whole-systems change, around an integrative strategy of strategies, and
the core competencies and consciousness that is needed generation-wide,
movement-wide, species-wide."
